Was reading an article about us all getting fatter as a country, and how we are all under reporting our actual calorie intake (claimed calories are down but weights are rising) and the article claimed an average 1900 daily calories for men & 1400 for women – that’s what we SHOULD be eating, not what we do!
Thing is, I’m a lot shorter & lighter than the average UK male, so is there a simple formula for calculating what my calorie intake ‘should’ be?

Not for anything useful, just because I’m interested!

It’s a bit dependent on age as well. The easiest way to work it out is to sign in to MyFitnessPal and use their calculator. It seems pretty good to me based on what I eat
