probably not possible but I received an anon email from a new gmail address and Id love to know who it was from ( not in good way btw) not a serious issue and I’m not that savvy but is there any tracking info attached to a gmail that I could use, I’m guessing the sender is not sufficiently tech savvy to employ and cover their mail. any ideas?? ta

I think it is impossible without being able to connect the account with another less anonymous source, like Facebook.

gmail doesn’t have useful IP info in the header like other email providers.

I’m confused – is it anonymous or from a gmail address? If the latter, then presumably you simply want to know who owns the gmail account (which I don’t think is possible unless you’re the police or MI6).

You can get some tracking info by looking at the full header, but it’s unlikely to tell you anything useful.
