    I know it's been done before, but….

    A) What was wrong with the orignal search engine that worked great? (actually I think I know….. no advertising income)

    B) How can the Google site search be so crap when everything else they do is so good? – I can't find anything!

It's so bad I don't even bother trying to use it now – which in turn puts me off using the forum.

Apparently its going back to the old way… one day.
We'll proably have to wait for a site hack for any change to be made 😉

Simple and reasonable answer – the 'proper' search was causing the site to grind to a halt. They've said they're working on a fix but in the mean time, the google search will have to do.

Just use a normal Google search rather than the one here

search for site: singletrackworld.com "wot tires" etc.

you can then filter the results

The main problem with the google search is the lack of sorting by posting date – particularly for the classifieds.

    Does it use Google Mini?
