pfffft, bottom of the hill and £128k! I bought huuuuuge 4 bedder on Slinn a few years back for £50k, should never have sold

Oi less of this hill-ism. Its vertically at least 75 feet from the river and to get to that level it'd have to be mahoosive flood. Anyhow higher up the hill you go nearer the students you may be.......
We bought it for forty thirteen years ago and have spent a reasonable amount on it but it's a cracking house in a good location so it was worth doing. We wouldn't have been moving if I hadn't been lucky enough to have cancer badly enough for my life insurance to pay out!
clouds and silver linings.........Posted 4 months ago # -
I had a look at this yesterday, you can see a fair amount of work has been done between the Google street view pics and the estate agent pics. the house looks almost spot on for me & the Mrs but despite being able to afford the mortgage repayments, the bank want almost double the deposit due to me being a self employed contractor.
and being at the bottom of the hill means you get all the climbs out of the way with fresh legs, many a time I've freewheeld home complete shattered and been glad I no longer live in Crookes
