This is a little bit “locals only” but I’m sure there’s enough people on here who should see this.

Derbyshire County Council are consulting with potential users and locals about their proposed second phase of the Hope Valley Cycle Link – the first phase was the Bamford/Hathersage section. They’ve involved Sustrans to come up with ideas too.

They’ve got a session at Hope Valley College tonight until 8pm, same on Thursday (4pm – 8pm) and then in Hathersage on Saturday.

Well worth getting down and having your say, I think it might lead to us avoiding a massive spend on something that’s not really right (although the principle is sound) IMHO of course.

Oh, worth mentioning that this isn’t the highways dept, so please don’t go giving these folks grief for Rushup Edge and the likes. This is part of the Pedal Peak project.
