Says 10S on it – but I thought 9 and 10 speed freehubs were the same width?

So, if the freehubs are the same width but there are less sprockets on a 9sp, then the spacing between them must be larger?
perhaps the spacer is for a 9sp setup?

My oneup sprocket came with a spacer, it says for use with sram cassettes…
