I’ve just had a new Pro II front wheel built with a 20mm conversion for a maxle. I have noticed that when the maxle is screwed in tight before closing the cam there is about 2-3mm space between the lower of the right hand leg and the end of the maxle. You can flex the lower of the fork at this stage but the play is removed when the cam is shut even though the gap remains. Surely it should all fit flush together? I think I might have read somewhere that there have been sizing issues with some hope hubs? Is it just that the 20mm adapters are the wrong size or is it nothing to worry about?
