Anyone running a hope press fit BB with a sram bb30 crankset?

I have just got them delivered, not yet fitted, but the bearing seem really tight on the axle, not just snug but they will take some judicious use of a mallet to fit the cranks.

    It just doesn’t seem right

Yes, I have one on my Turner with X0 bb30 cranks running on it. it was a snug fit through but is good as gold once in and has done many more miles than Sram’s effort (that’s not saying much though admittedly)

Thing is it isn’t just snug, there is no way a can push the bearing onto the axle by hand, I think it will go on once the BB is fitted if I knock the cranks in with a rubber mallet, but then I think the bearings could be damaged in the process and may not come off again.

can’t remember mine being that tight, but tbh I didn’t try it on the axle before I fitted it. BTW before you knock your old one out, make sure you have the special socket for tightening up the central sleeve.
