I have the original Hope Headset I think, well from 2005. Anyone know the bearing numbers in it to get them replaced? Hope seem to have removed the exploded diagrams from their site and I cant see owt on my current ones.

    Thanks

iirc hope don’t sell bearings for the old headsets any more but will do a trade in for a new one.

Bummer as i have 4 old ones.

I had a load of grief trying to get bearings for my old MK1 Hope headset, in the end Hope reluctantly traded my old for a new plus a fee (cost of the old bearings). I fitted that, thought it was pants, and luckily a friend was getting shot of a CK headset, I now have that – happy days!

are you sure, Hope designed them to be fitted permanently to reduce any chance of play between the bearing and housing.

Having 2 or 3 old [2nd gen, I think] Hope headsets – I’m with coatsey on this one, I’ve never noticed a way to remove the bearings
