How many headset presses can I make from 100cm threaded rod? I was thinking three, but not sure whether 33cm is going to be quite long enough.

    Opinions from the panel please.

threaded rod is what £1.50 a metre for M10/12? But yeah 33cm should be enough.

    Thanks!

It’s M16 I’ve got (really needed it to press in BB30 bearings and the Park Tool collets are roughly 16mm ID) – it was cheap; can’t face the plaster of having to go to Clitheroe to get more (have failed to find anywhere that has it closer to home).

ahh I used M12 as it fits through 1/2″ drive sockets nicely – what I use to press headset cups in 😀
