36 EBU is not alot for an IPA
Depends on how hoppy you like you beers , and the amount of residual sugars to offset the bitterness . PLus the ABV , as alcohol contributes to the dryness, which is low at 3.8%
If you add 50% more hops , and you will get a drop in utilization , then you might get 60 – 70 EBU . Allowing for AA losses during maturation , this will be ‘Crisp’. It should have a high alpha bite to start , then smooth out and become malty after the first 1/2 pint or so.
