Has anyone ever taken a holiday based around running (in the same way cyclists take holidays to ride the Alps etc)?

How long do you want to go for and how much running do you want to do ? I think I would struggle to do more than 4 or 5 hours each day for 2 days on the trot, without then needing the rest of the week off to prevent the risk of injury.

once read an article that suggested running into and around every cul de sac when out for a run would make it more interesting – could apply this idea and have a cracking time and be back home for a bath

    could tri these people

Oh .. I’m interested by this but a bit closer to home.. has anyone used a UK based company for lakes/peaks/moors

Hope any answers may prove useful to the OP as well … sorry for the slight hi-jack.

A mate picks a foreign marathon every year as a weekend break – done Berlin, Amsterdam, Boston, New York off the top of my head.

He spends the other 51 weeks of the year at the physio getting his knees fixed though.

My sister’s been living out there and loved going up to the camp for the weekend.

Yes, been to do the Sierre Zinal race a couple of times. We did take bikes for a bit of variety too though.
