Has anyone any idea how long the HMRC take to make refunds / amending tax codes? I submitted a P87 about 5 weeks ago, so just wondering when I will get to hear something. Also does anyone have a phone number for a tax office / HMRC?

Had mine in on 7th April. Paid on 26th.

Get the number off the hmrc website.

I called them when my p60 came through and they said it’ll be about 10 days.

Always found HMRC good to deal with.

It took 5 years to get £3.5k refunded from hmrc here. Who then investigated me for tax for each of those 5 years a week later, and handed me a bill for £1.36 for miscalculated tax…
