So does anyone have one such that they’d recommend?

You could consider a hi-vis backpack cover.

There are various Hi-Viz covers for backpacks which you see a lot on cyclists.

Great idea. If only I’d thought of it…… 🙂

I read that as Hiv is back..pack!

I saw someone the other day with a backpack onto which was sewn a reflective blue n white arrow sign.. it was quite good.

It’d never work as a waterproof version tho. 😉

it’s the Howies rucksack. Love the idea, but execution was bad – missing things like sternum and waist straps, which personally I think are quite important on a riding bag.

I have the Howies Chevron Courier bag, but don’t think they make it any more.

My cheapo eurohike rucksack’s plastered in 3m reflective tape in a nice chevron pattern, more visible than most purpose-made hiviz kit even though the original bag is black. Reflectives work far better than the bright yellow material that makes up most kit.

I now commute with a flouro alpkit gourdon. Always get comments about it in the office it’s that bright.

Covers are ok, but its just extra faff.

I’ve got an old fluro Camelback i use, but i’d prob replace it with this when it wears out

I’ve not seen one in the flesh, but I’m tempted by one of these myself
