    Summary/high lights of trip

    * Start race at Edinburgh Uni at 9.30am Friday, headed down to train station.
    * Raise just under £40 at station (including some money for food/travel)
    * After being flat out refused by 4 conductors and the guys at bus station, kind condutor lets us on a train to Newcastle at 11.30am
    * Crew change on train at Newcastle, new conductor lets us stay on til London (Kings Cross) – get into London at 3.50pm
    * Get train from Kings Cross to London Bridge (using donated travel money)
    * Another kind conductor allows us to get on train to Dover – train leaves at 4.45PM.
    * Get into Dover station at 6.20pm, kind lady pays for taxi to Dover port -get to port at 6.30pm.
    * Start trying to get lift at Dover, asking drivers in the ticket centre and parked outside, and standing by side of road/roundabout/petrol station.
    * Previously told hitch hiking in Dover was illegal, so decided it was a good idea to try thumb a lift right outside the police station, with 2 police vans next to us.
    * Spent 8 hours trying to get a lift, then go and sit inside to warm up/dry out/get an hours kip.
    * End up paying for ferry across to Boulonge (south of Calias) at 7am Saturday after being at Dover for over 12 hours.
    * Get into Boulonge, fail at getting ride on train to Paris.
    * 4 of us (2 teams) get a lift from main road out of Paris after waiting for about 30 mins, get dropped off on motorway at a toll
    * After waiting at toll for 15mins, British family pick the 2 of us up. Very nice people, and bought us food/drink.
    * Family end up being awesome and take us to a block away from hostel (the finish line).
    * Get into hostel at 3.30pm Saturday, 8th place (out of 23 teams), after leaving Edinburgh 29hours earlier.

    Soo, if anyones feeling generous, pleeaassseee donate to Shelterbox here;
