IME if you ride mud on a fatbike like you do a regular MTB, it probably ain’t gonna come out too well i.e. come in fast and give it beans. Come in steady, keep power-delivery even and let the tyres do their stuff. My local bridleways can get churned into a hub-deep morass that will swallow a normal-width tyre whereas my fatbike I simply ride over the top. With big tyres, you can ride slippy off-camber stuff and over logs and rocks and sometime stay out the big pools that get the heavy churn. Step-off and you’ll be over your ankles!
