    Hi, what’s the difference between the rear mech cage lengths? I am looking at building a hardtail XC bike with a 2×10 drivetrain. Would a long cage be best??

    for a 2×10 go for a medium (imo)

    Agreed. Unless you’ve got a massive gap between small and big rings like 22-40 or something daft.
