I’m trying to help a friend repair a Colnago C50 and he needs to remove
a part from the bottom of a seat stay in order to repair it. Trouble is this bit is glued in, probably epoxy, and I’m not sure what method is best to get it off. In the past I’ve used a torch to remove glued parts on an old alloy Alan cross frame but obviously carbon won’t take that sort of heat.
He’s tried the importer with no luck.

    is it a spoon?

I’d talk to a CF repair specialist. Trouble maybe that they use the same resion to bond it on that the CF is impregnated with so anythign that dissolves one affects the other.

It’s the bit that is used to connect the seat stay to the chainstay. This connection is held in place with a countersunk M4 on the inner side and a countersunk barrel nut on the other.
