I am having a nightmare (ie about it throw it out the window!!) importing a gpx track into an etrex 20. On my pc it shows as there, but I can’t find it when using the device.

I bought it just fo rthis purpose – surely it must be straightforward???? 😯

If it is anything like my etrex 30, put it in the tracks folder then you can overlay it from there

You need to put the gpx file in the \garmin\gpx folder on the device itself (not on the sd card).

You’ll then find it via the “where to” menu.

Thanks – I think it was showing as a route – used Basecamp to convert to track and it seems to be there!!

    Why is it so complicated?

Well basically the software is very poor. It feels like they issued a beta version, with no user testing!..I have just about got to grips with it, but occasionally it will confound me….
