Managed to snap my single 12tooth sprocket off of the back of my commuter last week, new part has arrived, but can't get the lock ring undone because of the spacers on the free hub.

The spacers mean that you can't get any purchase on the free hub body and it just spins 🙁

Before I have to go and cut the spacers off anyone got any good ideas?

Only other way that I can see is to remove the freehub assembly and grip the inner edge with a vice, but this may not be possible on some hubs as the lockring prevents the axle coming out, which prevents access to the freehub mounting bolt.Just out of interest, how are you going to grip it if you cut off the spacers, you'll probably need something pretty big to hold it, and the rest of the wheel will make using a vice pretty awkward.
