I’ve been lucky when that’s happened in the past that I had a socket that was just the right size to catch on the remaining outer race of the bearing and push it out. There was only about 0.5mm standing proud of the frame (it was a Stumpjumper though, not a Heckler). Worth a try.
Otherwise, heat the metal around the bearing.. (boiling water temps) – and try to tap the bearing out with a small punch/drift and a hammer. The heat should make it pretty loose.
These both depend on you having good access to the bearing though!
You can get tools that open into the outer race and pull the bearing out – but I think they’re expensive enough that the better option is take the bits to an engineer.
Good luck – it’s one of these jobs that should be a few minutes and can suddenly become an all-weekender.
