    Hi

Im off to Afan on Fri 31st May for a couple of nights and trying to plan what trails to ride.

We are going really early on the Friday and then heading back Sunday afternoon/eve so basically 3 days of riding. We are staying at the Queens B&B.

What are the best trails at Afan? Ive been told to avoid Skyline and just ride White and The Wall.

Was also thinking of doing Brechfa on the way down. How do people rate Brechfa, is it the Raven Trail?

Also after one of Afan’s trails on the Saturday, we are thinking if heading down to the new Darren Farw Trails for a quick blast.

Just after some ideas really to plan the days out. Any help would be appreciated from Afan regulars and people who have done a weekend there.

Also suggestions for good local pubs and a curry house would be much appreciated too.

    Thanks

    Ian

Ride whites level & the wall or w2 which is a combo of both.
Be sure to try out the new bike park, 3/4 of the way around the wall. Very good day time food at skyline cafe (start of whites level) & average food at Bryn bettys cafe by bike park on the wall.
Brechfa & cwmcarn also worth a visit.
Not sure about evening meals or pubs locally.

I would park at Bryn Bettws Lodge. That way you can drop onto the trails, do either or both together in W2. You have the bikepark to mess about on, and can ride up the fireroad and do the last descent a few times.

Just before Bryn Bettws near the junction you have the Colliers pub which is alright and does food and that, or about 25 minutes drive you have the Refreshment Rooms, an old railway station pub in Cymer..
