Don’t know if this has been put up yet, yesterday a cyclist was killed on the road in Peebles. Police are asking for help to identify him.

Very sad news. Pretty poor description – tall/short? Fat/thin? Black/white? A decent description of the bike would likely yield quick results from the cycling community. Middle aged man who owns a yellow jacket could apply to 90% of the membership here!

euch, grim. looks like it could be cyclist losing control but the driving on that road is terrible.

wee bit more from the Hootsmon – red and white Peugeot apparently.

“The cyclist is described as being a male between 40 – 50 years old and was using a red and white Peugeot racing bike. He was wearing a yellow jacket, blue and yellow cycle top, and black cycling shorts.”
