I’ve got a 1050 Sram cassette 11-32. X-7 10 speed medium cage rear derailleur, 1070 chain, X-7 10 speed shifters.
I’m trying to set up the gears but as I press the shifter button for bottom gear at the back, the ‘click’ doesn’t quite happen and as I lift my thumb off the key, the derailleur moves back to the previous sprocket. I’ve fiddled with cable tension, b-limit screw (all the way out, all the way in), chain on the 36t middle, 22t granny. Slackened off the derailleur limit screw (I can see it, not touching the ‘tang’ as it shifts).
I’m stumped.
Gonna slacken the cable off and count the clicks, see if the shifter will reach the final click with no load.
Is my medium cage too short for 11-32 and 22/36?
