Has anyone done such a holiday in italy? Anyone managed to do it cheap? Take your own bikes? etc

I’d be grateful if you can share your advice.

The cheapest option I know of would be with finale freeride. Fly ou, take your bikes, stay in the bunkhouse thing they have/use which is dirt cheap and pay them for uplifts and guiding every day.

There are other places to ride in the area but you’d need guiding/lifts from the companies who work there.

Riviera Bikes is another option, was pretty cheap when we went and price included massive meals and some wine / grappa.

Oh, and some pretty good trails too!

Or you could get yourself to Lake Garda and pay around €15 per day for an uplift. B&B / Camping / Food is all cheaper there than you might think.

Hi My friend in Abruzzo (Italy) runs some cycling tours in this beautiful region, you can fly to Rome (2 hours drive from) and Pescara (40 min drive) and have 8 days tour from e518 inc accommodation, full board, pick up from Pescara airport etc. If it helps, see website
    http://www.abruzzotour.it/index/content/body/44
and some information about additional accommodation and the area on our website http://www.abruzzo-vacation.co.uk
