    This is what I remember:

    Story about a married couple set in US.
    Girl has bad upbringing and struggled until she got a scholarship to study
    Boy from a comfortable background

    Emphasis on how synaptic connections are influenced by your genetics and environmental factors.

    It may have a had a white cover. Probably ready about 3 years ago?

    Any ideas?
