I’m buying Xmas pressies and want to get some films about food for a foodie.

So far I have come up with Tampopo and Babbette’s feast (former filmsoc member at uni)

Can you think of any more?

Erm thanks…how many of those films are actually about food though as opposed say to being set in a restuarant (Thief, cook…)?

There are no films about food. just buy them a cookery book like the The Curry Secret

but if you really must ‘cloudy with a chance of meatballs’

Julie and Julia – fairly dire, pretty much about food although there is a fatuous attempt to make food a metaphor for just about everything in the irritating cow’s life. Julie that is – Julia’s cool.

I’m ashamed to say I sat through it.

.how many of those films are actually about food though as opposed say to being set in a restuarant (Thief, cook…)?

The c the t his w and her l is about food too, maybe not the best cuts though

    “Eat, Albert.
    Roy, pour Albert a drink.
Try the cock, Albert. It’s a delicacy.
And you know where it’s been.
    Eat.
    Bon appétit.
    It’s French.”

EDIT lol at appétit getting pounced on by the swear filter – pardon my french
