As above, i recently brought a marin quake frame 2nd hand, and need to send the shock for a service… But i can get to the bolts for the lower shock mount.

It looks like i need to at least partly remove the swing arm. How can i do this?

    Cheers andy

I did this the other week on mine for the first time.

1 Remove the bearing covers on the top of the front link and bottom of the rear one (these are large black alu covers only).

2 Under these are 2 nuts with a spanner on each turn until 1 loosens and remove it completely.

3 Repeat with the other link.

4 Put a 4mm allen key in the end and drift the axle out.

    5 Repeat with other link.

6 The shock is now free but may take a bit of a wiggle to get out.

7 Make sure you catch the plastic bearing spacers which fit between the bearing and the shock mount gear to replace them later.

That should do it. There are some guides online too.
