    Folks….I need some help please.

I had a hope 40t T-Rex fitted by LBS couple of weeks ago, 17t removed from an XT cassette to accommodate it.

On washing it today, I’ve noticed that one of the chain rings on the cassette is slightly loose, maybe about a 1mm of movement either side.
What do I do?? How do I tighten it up? Or should it go back to LBS?

    Many thanks for your assistance.

Possibly a snapped chain ring had one slight movement on the splines, neds disasembly to check.

Phone the lbs up, see what they say. They may not tightened it correctly or missed putting back the small spacer.

    Thanks for your replies folks.
Had a really good look at the cassette and it needs replacing. Just realised it’s done 600 miles since Nov. LBS for new chain and cassette this week.

its what itsmygame said, cassette lockring is loose.

I would have thought your cassette should be good for 600 miles easy.
