Clearing out cupboards instead of riding today to try and finally shake this bloody cold and came across a full face helmet from about 2009ish. Do they degrade the same way regular lids do, ie should I junk it?

Isnt the standard life 3 years, with exceptions like Met that conform to higher revs than standard, where 4 is the suggested lifespan?

That’s what I thought for normal helmets, just wasn’t sure as full faces seem a bit more sturdy like snowboarding helmets. Will probably just junk it!

Think I’ve used it three times since I got it anyway, so probably best if it heads for the bin. Not like it’ll be much use to anyone else!

Shermer, yes, it does, though seems many folk fancy a change a bit sooner than that. My current 2 Giro ones are just under 4 as were both crash replacements 😳

Not everyone crashes as much as you Iain. In fact, are you not due another one?
