I have a ’00 heckler that had intimate relations with a tree that resulted in the rear mech being ripped from the frame, not sure how but it has stripped the non-replacable hanger thread and left the mech unharmed.

Is it an M10?

Aye 10 x 1 … not the easiest to get hold of but they are avaliable.

It is M10 x 1, but mech hangers arent very thick. A helicoil might be too long. You could cut it off, but I’m thinking more about the actual amount of thread engagement for the helicoil.

i think cyclo do a repair kit which is a top hat that goes in from the back not a heli coil think ison distributer are the suppliers ask at a good bike shop

BETD do frame saver bushes, easy to fit if you don’t mind taking a drill to your mech hanger….
