And she has kayaked 2000 miles down the Amazon, solo. Completed the Marathon des Sables among other marathon events. She is an absolute trooper and I take my hat off to her. That tightrope walk was amazing. It looked like a blustery sort of a day too.
saw her on an interview the other night apparently she wanted to do it without the safety but the insurance wouldn’t let/cover her.
Possibly, though it does smack of being a convenient excuse. If she had done it without the safety rope though I’d have no problems with her being described as amazing.
I’ve just re-read the thread and I apologise to those that didn’t, but, there is an undercurrent on this thread that I’d really hoped we’d seen the end of on this forum.

Why do you all have to objectify her?
you have met STW haven’t you TSY,
have to agree though, top girl, watch the doc on her paddling the Amazon and thought what a star, none of those half arsed ‘extreme’ cliched challenges, fair play I say

I’m sorry I just think that it’s a crying shame that a woman can’t be appreciated for her daring and professional capability.
I dare say this thread wouldn’t have got this far if it’d been Clare Balding completing the stunt. Infact no doubt someone would have made a quip about the rope!
She is genuinely appreciated, and then there’s some light-hearted banter because she’s an attrctive girl. Nowt wrong with that. I like your Clare Balding comment – very good!
