right so after the failure of my trailtech (rush) HID, i purchased the bits i needed for an LED conversion…

    LEDs
    Optic
    Driver
    New switch

So all that i am now missing is a heatsink. Bought some ally bar from ebay and was intending to get it turned down by a mate who has his own machine shop. However, he is just too busy with paying work to do it so need an alternative…

    What can i use???

    needs to be metal. imo.

you might get away with a metal loaded epoxy/ ceramic type thing but you might be getting into v. specialist areas and they’ll end up costing loads.

believe me it had crossed my mind! but i need to take 12mm off, so i reckon it’d be after the clocks go forward by the time i’d finished..

Isn’t the trailtech a plastic case? Fairly sure mine was.

I’d suggest a big one in that case 🙂
