Any ideas? Need to think of something like flapjack, but without the need to either cook it or use so much fat and sugar.

Going to make some protein bars with some protein shake powder, but the only recipie i can find is about 15g of fat and 35g of sugar on top of the protein.

there must be surely! Must be some magical sticky ingredient to substitute the honey/syrup for?

Must resist the obvious joke – sticky, protein blah blah blah

This is my healthy-ish version – more of an "energy blob" than flapjack:

65g raisins – cover with boiling water for 10 mins, then pour off water
add to 225g figs, 125g dates and 125g apricots (all roughly chopped)
add 65g crunchy peanut butter and 65g mini choc chips

put in blender for approx 1 minute, then form into 2.5cm balls and roll in cocoa powder (makes about 25)

They keep really well in the freezer

Mrs. T Has the right idea, might give it a go with varying proportions of fruit/oats as its still 25g of sugar per blob. I'm hoping the protein mix will thicken it up a bit as well.

NZCol, would you like some? Without all the added sugar it may be a little salty, but no ones ever complained 🙂

    Chill Winston 😳

Nope, the thread doesnt say anything about Jordans being full of sugar and no protein.

Are you prejudiced against warewolf masks, is that it?

try this bad boy recipe. bluddy yummy!!!! got it from WMB ages ago and made a note. had hundreds of em since. probably 🙂 they said it was a perfect mix of slow and fast releasing energy or something 🙂

    500g chopped dates
    150g brown sugar
    100g plain flour
    100g porridge oats
    8 tbsp olive oil
    2 tsp baking powder

    2 tsp vanilla extract
    4 large eggs
    350g chopped pecan nuts

Add to bowl in that order, mix well with wooden spoon.

Grease a tin, line with greaseproof paper, pour in mixture and smooth the top.

30 mins at 180 degrees C, leave for 10 mins, turn onto wire rack to cool completely.

    Cut into bars.
