I need to remove my headset. I've got a headset remover but how do you brace/clamp the frame so that you can use the hammer effectively?

I rest it on my leg and use a sharp tap – effectively you are using the inertia of the frame to work against rather than anything solid. Resting on my leg means I wont dent the frame.

In fact place the bottom braket on your foot and the top tube beside the seatpost on your knee. Then **** it with a hammer…

Don't really need to clamp the bike – The sprung headset removers that splay out will sit inside the head tube and then put a rag over the top and then give it a wack (to stop it flying accross the room) – just hold the frame with your hand – A sharp wack will do it and if not a few more will do – just wack it with one hand and hold the frame in the other 🙂
