Ok I’m trying to get in to my headset so that I can regrees it. but I cant move the forks out (the headset has been ignored for a while) all the videos I’ve seen the forks just falls right out. Don’t know if I should just give it a wack, or if it’s something I’m missing.

Might need to loosen the wedge that holds it all in together… tap the forks down, then lift up and the remove split wedge.

Block of wood on the top of the steerer tube and give it a whack, it'll be fine.

remove all the stuff from around the top bearing race first as some of this holds the forks in. Then give it gentle through to hard taps to get it out.
