    When installing a sealed bearing headset, do you grease the parts where the sealed bearing fit (race i think)or do you leave well alone as the bearings are sealed so it doesn't matter. Oh and does the crownrace get a touch of the grease as well?

    Any metal to metal surfaces should get a smear of grease

    as well as lubrication, which might not be needed in this case, it helps to prevent corrosion which is never a bad thing. So yes.

    Grease it Hugh. helps prevent the ingress of water to the bearing (which is what will ultimately kill it).
