I’m going to be fitting a set of rigid forks to the bike which has a Chris King headset fitted.

With the new forks will I need to use a Chris King crown race or could I use the Hope one which I’ve got sitting in the spares box in the garage?

I’m going to fit a new crow race to the rigid forks but don’t intend to remove the one from the suspension forks as I wan to be able to switch between the forks easily.

A hope tapered crown race seems to fit an onone smoothie mixer headset. I guess you need to trial it to be sure. Might be best just to buy a chris king crown race, are they reassuringly expensive?

Not surprisingly, they’re ridiculously expensive compared to anything else!

Think I might have to just bite the bullet and buy one.
