Someone should do something about this sort of anti-social behaviour.

"I had earlier seen a gang of kids hanging around the car. This was pathetic and cowardly."

So's assuming it was a "gang" of kids, when you have no proof for it.

Oh yes, love, I nearly forgot – you're one of those for whom "innocent until proven guilty" is a hindrance to your ongoing remvoval of civil liberties.

    Twunt.

This was an act of anti-social behaviour by some youths, the same kind of anti-social behaviour unfortunately many of my constituents have to put up with.

you would have thought someone would have done something about that, given oh, I dunno, 12 years to fix it….

If this was a political action, regardless of who did it, it's not right. To register political protest with a carefully aimed egg, or cup of green dye for example, is fine. Criminal damage like that? Not fine.

    Oh, and 🙂 @ Stoner's comment above!

a thought just occured to me that transcends the party politic 😉 , and this seems as good a place to stick it.

Labour apologists have ceaslessly blamed the Thatcher legacy for their own shortcomings over the last 12 years, and sure as hell the next conservative government will dine out on Gordon's economic wasteland as a good excuse for years to come…

…but, since I wasnt really there and paying attention, for how long (if she did) did Maggie use the mess left by Callaghan's "winter of discontent", or indeed Wilson after Heath's "3-day weeks, as an excuse?

transcends the party politic my arse…

I don't think the "blame culture" had been invented back then….

She'll claim it back on parlimentary expenses, then claim on her car insurance and then claim it was an accounting error when told she can't claim twice for the same thing. Though it is criminal damage it just goes to show that there is some justice. Who do you think sympathises?

Jeez, higgo! With one sentence you almost turned the thread down a far more disturbing path. Let's hope it reverts to the usual STW partisan bickering.
