What an utter piece of shit. I just rebuilt my strokers and ordered this kit with the new pistons. The tubes wont stay on the bleed valve and the bottle seems to suck air back into the system. What I thought was going to be a 10 minute job I’ve been at over an hour and all I’ve managed to do is get brake fluid all over the kitchen.

Has any one had any success with this over priced rubbish?

    Not usually a mechanical numpty.

Not used the Hayes bleed kit, but I’ve bought one of those bleed kits off ebay for a tenner. Not tried it yet so cant comment if any good.

I hate trying to bleed Hayes brakes, had similar experiences to you with the bleed kit but cables ties were enough to get a good seal on the hose. Swapped the bottles for syringes to but still never got a really good bleed (just about good enough to ride with though).

I loved my Hayes Strokers… right up to the point where I had to bleed one.

I failed miserable to achieve a decent bleed (syringe) so I took the bike to LBS, who faired little better.
    Sold on Ebay.
    XT bought instead. Happy.
