    I need to get hold of an adapter to connect the hose to the master cylinder/lever. Do I have any alternative to buying the wildly expensive official kit?

    Do you really need it?
    As you push the fluid up from the piston*, if you take out the plug out & carefully mop up the excess fluid as it comes out…

    * Well that what you do with my 9’s anyways.

    Well not *really* and that’s what I’m going to do as a last resort – but an adapter would allow me to attach a tube though which is cleaner and you can see bubbles better.

    Dunno what that is (yes ok, it s a Hayes stroker bleed fitting), what he actually after is the metal thing with the spring (no idea what the spring is for), as per this;

    I just use a length of pipe with a small “V” cut out, this lets the tube squeeze into the bleed hole, never had a spill yet.

    I stand corrected, but TBF I did make mention that it was the 9’s I knew about…

    You can find our Hayes Stroker specific bleed kit here if it helps:

    Also available with brake fluid.
