    Crusty snow with a bit of new powder all the way round, virtually no ice – like riding on hard smooth sand up Claife Heights and like being off piste going down Hodge Close – a truly great day in the Lakes.

    Taken from the big hill at the top of the first pic. A glorious day, but it was reckoned to be -15C in the wind on the summit.
