Anyone else have issues when trying to copy and paste the body of an ad into the For Sale forum?
Wrote out an ad for a bike I’m selling on FaceyB and have just tried to copy the text into a new FS thread here, but every time I hit post it will only display the first 100 characters or so.

Any ideas?!?!

What program or app are you writing the text on? A lot of them (eg MS Word) will have all kinds of formatting that can screw up paste. If you’re on a PC, type the text in Notepad – or if you have it elsewhere, paste it into Notepad first, then re-copy it.

Doing everything on a phone & iPad. Tried copying into notebook first but it doesn’t seem to matter.

I’ll just post it from a proper computer tomorrow.

Do you have an ampersand or some other special character in the description?

That displays OK when submitted but is truncated in the Preview view.

Aye, right enough actually. Looks like I’d tried to copy in a sad emoji from facebook (like a simpleton) Got it all sorted now, thanks!
