Just thought this might appeal to a few folk, apologies if it’s not appropriate.
The land that Mt Hutt bike park (near Methven, Canterbury, NZ) is situated on is up for sale, putting the future of the bike park is jeopardy. For a measly NZ$ 100’000 the land is trying to be bought for the bike club.
We’re nearly there and the deadline has been extended!
If you’ve ever fancied riding on the South Island its worth a day at Mt Hutt, particularly for the cheap shuttles.
I’ll probably never ride there again (or for many years at least) but it’ll give me a warm fuzzy feeling to know that I’ve bought a little bit of the bike park for future riders.
