I pay an annual membership to another forum, they ask for membership plus a fee to cover the charges.

Last year I paid them via gift so there were no charges, this year I can’t see how to gift for free, all I get is an option to pay the charge myself (which is fine as it saves 3p which is the charge for sending the extra to cover the charge…)

Have they removed this? Or is it because I am funding from a credit card rather than a paypal balance?

I think there are some circumstances where you always had to pay for it… Couldn’t blame them for withdrawing it if they have tbh, the way everyone (including me) takes the mick with it

I’ve had this before – like you say, I think it’s because you are funding from a card rather than your account balance.

had the same problem and believe it was because there was no money in my paypal account and was funding from a card.
