  • Has anyone used washers to space an E-thirteen bash guard?

As title, i’m using an E-Thirteen bash guard, 36t on a double slx chainset on my Heckler.
When i’m riding in the front 36t ring and the smallest gear at the back cassette I can feel a very faint grind like something is catching.

Does anyone have or had the same problem and had to put washers behind the bash guard to give more chain clearance? as I think the chain is slightly catching on the bash guard causing the faint grinding feeling?

    Help anyone? 🙂

not the exact scenario as you but i had something similar on my hub setup. i was getting a grinding noise from the chain pins hitting the bashguard but after spacing it off, the chain clearance improved and now it is silent.

giantjason, cheers mate, as soon as I shift up a couple of gears at the back it goes completely silent so i’m going to space it off tonight 🙂
