A friend asked me for some advice on a bike for around £350 budget. It’ll be used on light offroad and on road so I’m steering her in the direction of a hardtail mountain bike with tyres to suit the terrain.
I guess most of the brands have something in the ball park, and the honest answer is something that fits, and in a colour she likes so she will actually ride it. But it would be nice to find some extra bang for her buck. So any awesome deals around that you’ve seen?

Halfords seem to be at the high point in their price cycle so not great value for the Carreras just now…

This looks good, haven’t ridden this exact version though. £50 under budget and comes with lots of bits that the bigger brands would put on a £600 bike.
