Hi! would a hardtail be able to cope at the Kirroughtree trail?

    Of course.

Whether the rider can is a different story 🙂

no issues at all though observation says a lot of full sus bikes struggle maybe its just the rider though

No worries at all. Used to ride around Kirro on a fully rigid. I reckon a hardtail is optimal for most of the 7 stanes xc trails.

Very little on it that I’d rather be on a full suss than hardtail tbh.

    I got round it ok on a P7 with 80mm forks , you’ll be fine 😀

I rode around parts of it for 10 hours with no suspension once.

Would recommend doing it on a hardtail rather than a full bouncer. Some nice sweepy loose stuff that’ll feel better when nailed on a hardtail. Don’t do it on a halfords special though.

A hardtail will be fine, one of the fastest sub 2hr laps for red/black was done on a rigid singlespeed hardtail, there’s nowt on the red trail or any 7stanes trail that necessitates the use of a full sus to get enjoyment out of it.
