I’m trying to get a bit more space for the front child seat on my MTB.

Looking for a bar with a high sweep to allow sitting more upright, to be paired with a high-rise stem. Anything to consider alongside an on-one mary bar?

    Cheers!

Salsa Bend 2 are wider but similar sweep.

There are others, I’m sure more folk will be along to lend some ideas.

/edit – just seen your location. I’d happily lend you my Salsa Bend 2’s – they’re not fitted to anything at the moment. email me if interested.

Raleigh Trekking Comfort has backsweep that brings your hands back from the stem; Mary doesn’t do that as it sweeps forward a lot first

Or go more extreme with a “North Road” style eg http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Raleigh-North-Rounder-Comfort-Bars_18214.htm

    Not Mary Bars

They are designed to be the same sweep. They go forward then back

    This looks better

I have run marys with a high rise stem on my commuter – makes for a good combo for an upright riding position but your hands are the same distance forward as a riser bar

Have used both Mary and Raleigh North Rounder bars the Raleigh (pictured on my old M-Trax) are the highest and most sweepsome but the Mary was better offroad they gave an arguably more comfortable angle but didn’t force sitting upright. The North Rounders combined with the right seat are supremely comfortable for utility purposes and also have a degree of spring which helps with potholes on rigids
