Building my first bike, a Meta 6 and was wondering if there are any guidelines when it comes to handlebars. Main questions are:

1. I’m 6′ 6″ and 18st – should I stay away from carbon?
2. Should I be looking at low or high rise for general trail riding?

3. Would headset spacers and a low rise bar be the same as no spacers and a high rise bar?

1. No problem using carbon bars if you want to.
2. There’s no right or wrong answer to that, just what you’re comfortable with.
3. Yes

Have fun – the Meta 6 is a lot of bike to have fun on!

I agree with geetee, one tha bar front can recommend the Sunline V1 series, they’re proper wide – 711mm – and you can get a carbon one too.

The do a very nice matching V1 All Mountain stem in a couple of sizes but all zero rise
